A 2006 Freightliner Fire Apparatus is the main Firefighting rig for NFFR. It can seat 5 firemen and has 4 jumpseats to facilitate SCBA donning enroute to a scene. Engine 126 holds 1800 gallons of water with foam and is also equipped for vehicle extrication and traffic incident management.
Tanker 126 is a 4000-gallon Freightliner Fire Apparatus and is an essential part of our department. T-126 is capable of transporting water to fires in areas without direct access to water source. With several outlets it can fill up engines and brush trucks with ease and even assist on wildland fires with the nozzle on the front bumper.
Brush 126 is a 2005 Ford F550 crew cab and is our primary rescue and wildland firefighting vehicle. It carries a 400-gallon tank of water, as well as Class A foam. In addition to the firefighting equipment, it also carries 3 airpacks to aid in structural and high-risk fires. It is also equipped with medical supplies and used in traffic incident management.
Brush 226 is a 2006 Ford F350 with a 300-gallon water tank, wildland fire tools, and a 1" red line for mobile wildland operations.
Brush 326 is a 2008 Ford F350 with a 720-gallon water tank, wildland fire tools, 1", 1-1/2", and 2-1/2" hoses, and a 1" red line for mobile wildland operations.
NFFR has two medical response vehicles with S-126 based out of station 1 and S-226 based out of station 2. These are Chevy Silverado 1500's equipped with four wheel drive and EMS equipment to support all types of medical and trauma emergencies.
